Born in Taiwan.  (Do visit sometime.  There’s a vibrant and tolerant culture, beautiful landscapes, Michelin-starred eateries.) Raised in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota.  (Skol Vikings!) Enriched by the University of Minnesota for 2+ decades through youth programs, dance theatre, pre-college courses, undergraduate school (bachelor of science degree with major in biochemistry, minor in psychology), biomedical research, graduate school (masters degree in public health with concentrations in environmental toxicology and public health policy), and medical school (medical degree). Trained in full-spectrum family medicine by St. Mary’s Family Medicine Residency Program in Grand Junction, Colorado. Practiced outpatient primary care for folks of all ages and genders, inpatient and outpatient obstetrics (prenatal care, delivering babies, postpartum care), and inpatient newborn care at St. Charles Family Care and Hospital in Redmond, Oregon, for a decade.  

Aside from working to optimize your health, I am happily married to a talented and hardworking craftsman, and we are raising two rambunctious children.  We also tend to a small farm with livestock, free-range chickens that may or may not lay eggs, bunnies, a cat, and 3 brazen dogs.  I enjoy cooking, hiking, skating, skiing, reading, gardening, attending yoga classes, dancing and singing whenever I can, and practicing sustainable living.
